Check the input, the port and the cable
Make sure the TV is set to the right HDMI input, and that the cable is firmly in the port marked "out to TV" on the console. Then try another HDMI port on the TV, another HDMI cable, and another TV if you have one.

Start it in low-resolution mode
A display setting the TV can't show looks like a dead port. Microsoft's reset: eject any disc, hold the power button for 10 seconds to turn the console off, then hold the power and eject buttons until the second beep. On a Series S, which has no eject button, hold the Xbox button and the Pair button instead. The console starts at 640 × 480.
